Alex Brewer-Disarifino

A graduate of Chapman University’s School of Communications, I cut my teeth in the NYC alt-comedy and East Village theater scenes, where I swept as many stages as I performed on. I found my community in sketch/improv comedy, Heavy Metal parody bands and experimental theater.  I’ve also worked as an art director on indie projects and theatrical experiences, developing my own unique aesthetic.

I’m a lifelong horror, heavy metal, and comic book fan, raised on the Big Island of Hawaii where I spent weekends shooting Super 8 gore films and reading Stephen King. As a kid I was fueled by monster magazines, offbeat comedy, and genre cinema. George A. Romero was my god and splatter movies my religion. 

My love of theater, horror, and genre filmmaking have converged in my first film project, Dead Jeni. When I’m not working in the video game PR and marketing trenches, I’m developing original work across film, multi-media and creative collaborations.
